Social. Ever attended a fitness class and not said a word to anyone else? Or, felt ignored by the instructor / teacher? This will not happen at one of our dance classes! Firstly, we book all our classes in advance, so having booked in our teacher will be expecting you, will great you and introduce you. Secondly a group dance class is not a solo activity and part of it's appeal is the fact that it is social, often classes incorporate routines which have patterns and interactions between the dancers.
Mindful Movement. Whether you are attending a Beginners or Improvers class our dance classes will challenge you at your level. Your mind needs to be present in the class to allow you to succeed, there's no going on auto pilot here or thinking about your to do list!
Fitness. It may be pointing out the obvious, but your fitness will be improved in all areas including; cardiovascular, strength and flexibility.
Cross training. The different ways you use your body and mind have cross benefits on other things you do, any other physical activity you do will be benefited by what you do in your dance class.
Exercises your mind. Absorbing the dance specific lingo, remembering combinations and routines, co ordinating arms with legs as well as directions, pathways is a great work out for your mind.
