Introducing… Acrobatics!

Introducing… Acrobatics!

I’ve been looking to introduce Acro classes for a while and am very excited to have found a brilliant, fully qualified dance (ISTD) and Acro teacher (Acrobatic Arts), Helen Clarkson who is looking forward to introducing the subject at JC Dance.

There will be two Acro workshops this term to give those who are interested in trying Acro the chance to have a go and see what it is about. The workshops are linked together, so students will attend both and in the second workshop continue work started in the first. Following the workshops, dependant on interest I hope to establish regular (be it weekly, fortnightly or monthly) Acro classes.

What is Acro?!

An Acro class includes limbering (stretching), strengthening, balancing and (in time) tumbling. The classes include partner work and are great fun. For dance, Acro is used to add exciting elements to choreography within a dance.

Dates:

Sunday 14th May and Sunday 11th June at Poulton YMCA.

Each session is limited to 15 children and the price is for both sessions. The workshops are open to current JC Dance pupils only. Places are on a first come basis and only secure when payments are made. Any 4 year olds attending must be at school, not pre school.
